Randy Ess

Randy Ess has been a mainstay of Tulsa music since the 1960’s. His teenage band, The Rogues Five which featured future Clapton drummer, Jamie Oldaker, had a No. 7 hit that placed them on the chart alongside The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Touring extensively, appearing regularly on television, they also recorded with Leon Russell at his Skyhill Studio in Hollywood. Randy Ess was signed to Shelter Records in 1975, recording at the famous Church Studio and Leon’s private 40 track studio located in his Tulsa mansion. The Randy Ess band formed to play live shows from London to Canada and across the U.S. opening shows for legendary bands like the Talking Heads, Humble Pie, Elvin Bishop and many more. Randy has played Tulsa’s Historic Cain’s Ballroom more than any other living artist. Today, The Randy Ess Band is comprised of legendary Tulsa musicians, Scott Musick (The Call) on drums, Bass player extraordinaire Ron Morgan, the beautifully, talented Cayla Butler on keyboards and vocals and the versatile “Dr, Mando” Doug Moore on mandolin, lap steel and guitar. Partnering with MusicLynx Network, The Randy Ess Band is taking it’s brand of Classic Rock to wide ranging audiences.
